University to hold workshop on exam reforms
GOING step by step, Anoop Kumar, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Rashtrasant Tukadqji Maharaj Nagpur University, is concentrating on bringing improvement in examination and result system. Though, the committee of Rajesh Aggarwal. Secretary, Information Technology had recommended certain measures for exam reforms, none was followed in any University. He had also said that University would be implementing the recommendations by Aggarwal committee on examination reforms. University has decided tocreate a special post of Director (examination reforms).
In the year 2012. in most of the universities in Maharashtra the cases of paper leak were registered in large numbers. Taking cognizance of the same. State Government had constituted a committee under Rajesh Aggarwal which had Dr Vijay Pandharipande. former V-C of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Maraihwada University. Aurangabad; DrS Is Kane. Head. Department of Statistics. RTM-NU and oiliers. The committee had submitted its report. It has suggested 43 reforms in examination. It has still some misconceptions and contusion among the universities. Aggarwal will guide the university officials at Nagpur on May 17. The workshop will be attended by officials of university, members of various authorities. Principals of various colleges, academicians and others.
The Chancellor had made these recommendations while addressing the joint board of Vice-Chancellors (JBVC) last year while expressing concern over delay in declaration of results.
