AFTER the staggering loss in Nagpur parliamentary constituency, knives are out in the faction ridden city unit of Congress Party. Launching a tirade against Maharashtra EGS Minister Dr Nitin Raul, a group of youth leaders from North Nagpur alleged that he did not work with sincerity.
Addressing a press conference. Raja Dronkar. General Secretary. Nagpur City Congress Committee. said, "Had they themselves not worked hard the lead in their Assembly segment would have been above 50.000 votes. But we pot w ind of conspiracy hatched by Nitin Raut to ensure defeat of party nominee Vilas Muttemwar and we swung into action and hence the lead in North Nagpur segment was just 17.000 votes."
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ex-corporator Vedprakash Arya. too. claimed that Dr Raul in fact was instrumental in sabotaging the prospects of party nominee From Nagpur.
Countering the claims of Dr Raut at not being taken into confidence, Arya said let the mobile records of Muttemwar and former be checked and truth will be out as to who is lying.
Dronkar also said they will be meeting party leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi and demand replacement of all sitting MLAs who have completed three terms if the party want to save its face in forthcoming assembly elections. In face party repeat Dr Raut from North Nagpur segment then there would he rebellion, said a belligerent Dronkar.
