State Government to act tough against employees skipping, avoiding training


STATF. Government has decided lo come strict on its employees who would skip or avoid the training for which they have been designated by the Government. Hereon, it will be compulsory for employees to attend the training and Government will check now whether the employees completed their training or not while giving annual routine increment in the salaries.
State Government has brought out a GR in this regard to bring discipline amongst employees and to increase their attendance at the training. Maharashtra Government has formulated its training policy to impart training to state employees to increase their efficiency and ultimately to provide fast service to people.
Employees are given basic training, post promotion training, refresher course, post transfer training and also for introducing new subjects to them. Apart from that YASHADA also organises training on the subject useful for official works and designate employees of different departments for such training.
Government has found from the past experience that officials and employees designated for training do not attend those or their Head of the Departments do not free them to attend. General administration department take follow up of trainees till the last moment, still many do not go for the training.
Department also do not provide replacement for such employees who can not attend the training. Less turnouts for training programmes, mars the objective behind the organisation. Government has already appointed Chief Secretary on State level and Divisional Commissioner on District level as the authority to take action against officials and employees not attending training even after their selection and also against how not sending their employees for training.
In spite of this, it has been found that officials or employees do not show interest in training or they are not freed by their  to attend those. As a result of which. State Government has made it compulsory for employees to attend training and to to free those employees. If for some unavoidable reasons, employee fails to attend predecided training, concerned departments will have to provide alternate names for those.
Government has also decided to check whether the employees have completed their training or not while giving annual salary increment, says GR.
