Cops given last chance to probe property dealers' murder case


RESPONDING to the prayer made by the Nagpur (Rural) Police for further two weeks' lime, in the criminal writ petition filed by an anganwadi sevika. Chhaya Ramcsh Telang seeking probe into circumstances of her brother KailasDongre's homicidal death. sonic time around June 30. 2012. which she suspects to be a case of murder. Justice Bhushan Gavai and Justice C V Bhadang. at High Court have granted the said request to the Police as last chance, to investigate into the "murder case" on the lines suggested by the petitioner.
According to the petitioner. 3 to 4 days before the incident, deceased Kailas. who used to deal in property and operated travels, had visited her home and intimated that he had suffered losses in property dealings and incurred debts to the tune of Rs. 15 lakhs and he apprehended his murder by his partner. Anand Thakare at any moment.
He was also involved and won in a civil litigation in respect of their ancestral 9 acre agricultural land at village Lihgaon Shivar. hence the petitioner has alleged that his brother u as murdered hecause of his winning that case and his dead body was burnt down after droustng that with petrol with a view to hide his identity.
As the Kamptee Police was investigating into the case very slowly and there was no arrest of even one suspect in the case and it was also ignoring the suggestions for probe made by the petitioner and other kin of the deceased, this criminal writ petition came to be filed. The petitioner has alleged that the Police has not probed into two females and a male. who had applied turmeric to the house of the deceased at Bidgaon on July I, 2012. 'The lock on his house was also broken open by Sonu Titarmare and Archana Balole. but they have not been apprehended/interrogated. The police has not seized CCTV footage at toll naka at Bazaargaon. where the deceased is said to have gone towards Amravati.
One suspect Gulab Patil is absconding and his Mobile is also not working and the cops have not probed into this clue. One Ghodke family connected with one suspect is also harassing the family of the deceased.
