Over 1.5 lakh students to appear in MH-CET on 8th


MAHARASHTRA Common Entrance Test (Ml IT CET 2014) tor admission to health science courses will he held on May 8. 2014. This total number of 1.53 lakh students will appear in examination. Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER)will he conducting the examination. From Nagpur district, a total of 6.561 students will appear.
There are 124 colleges of all health sciences courses in State with the intake of 5.710. The students will appear for Physics. Chemistry and Biology between 10 am and 1 pm. There are 18 schools and colleges in Nagpur as examination centres. Students will gel the admit card on 'www.dmcr.orgs. To avoid any untoward incident the police force will be deployed at the centres. All the students should remain present by 9.15 am.
Till two years ago the examination was con-dueled along with the Engineering CET. But then Medical Council ol' India came out with an idea of National Eligibility Entrance Test, a common test for the students from India.
It did not work and then Supreme Court suspended it. Meanwhile for Engineering, the JEE (main) was conducted as a common entrance lest. So. both these tests separated from each other.
