EGO-CENTRIC WORL

  1. EGO-CENTRIC WORL

THE Universe Is full of people having egos. There isn't any existence devoid of ego. The three components of ego are I, Me and Myself. Every want, wish and aspiration emanates from Ego. The world Is ego-centric. We live here to satisfy our ego. Therefore satisfying others ego becomes our duty.   If one fails In this duty he is considered to be a failure in life. Thereby he is unable to quench his ego. Ego, per se. is no) bad. As we know excess of everything is bad. (Attusarvaaa Karjyafes) so   also   excess   ego becomes the cause of R  one's pitfall.
A child wants to pos-jA  sess something le, my pen, my dress, my toys 1 etc. Grownups feel that their advice, suggestion, order, command etc should be obeyed by the people who are around them. Fulfillment of every aspiration is the temporary satisfaction of ego. Ego is insatiable, ft ends with the end of life. But during old-age some people realise the emptiness of ego. They are the real spiritual sadbaks. When there arises a stage of helplessness, there one meets the end of ego.
Even at the fag end of life many do not realise the vanity of ego. This is what drives the life. End of ego is death; a little ego is the spirit of life. Viceversa is not true. End of life is not necessarily end of ego. It can be carried forward in the next life. But with the end of ego; the soul is emancipated. No amount of preaching, reading could eliminate ego. But the experiences of life teach us the hollowness of ego and thereby man enters into a life of introspection, inward looking, soul searching journey which culminates into MuJcft or Moksha.
Clash of egos is the cause of many conflicts, wars, disputes and destruction; whether it is country centric ego, community centric, and caste centric, religious centric or for that matter any 'ism' centric. Therefore, as far as possible, we should tend to put a limitation to our ego. Everything within limits is permissible, good or bad. No man is infallible Perfection Is Itopial So don't .   live in the world of Utopia. Be adjustable. VI be flexible. Compromise within limits,A is a trait. But where to draw the line A is a million dollar question. It is left V to the discretion of man. ft also depends ^m   upon the circumstances. Life is a jour- wney whose destination is decided by your actions. Hence the need of the hour is to lead a life of righteousness (Dtiaima) for the ultimate goal of eternal peace.
