Bail plea of Prashant Vyas, three others rejected

AMRAVATI Civil Court has rejected the bail plea of Prashant Vyas and three other accused who were hooked by Amravati City Kotwali Police in case cheating in land deal case. Court rejected the anticipatory bail plea after the hearing held on Thursday.

Pravin chandra Khatri did a property deal of 40 acre farm at Salora in Chandur Railway tehsil with Amol Kamlakar Acharya through Hemant Vyas and Pravin Vyas in March 2010. Vyas and Khatri had close family relations and taking benefit of Ibal Vyas cheated Khatri in this deal. In spite of several reminders from Khatris. Amol Acharya never presented final purchase documents and hence Khatris sent him a notice through Vyas. On the contrary. Acharya sent a notice to Khatri through lawyer, that he did not attended meeting for land purchase on lime and denied to give final purchase documents to Khatri. Acharya also informed Khatri that he will not return the advance of Rs 5.50 lakh given at the start of the deal.Meanwhile. Jayant Khairi, son of Pravinehandra Khairi, came to know that Vyas duo has cheated them in some other cases also. Jayant registered a written complaint at then Commissioner of Police. Ajit Patil. meeting him personally. After investigating the case for 100 days. Economic crime wing of Amravati police asked Khatri to go to Civil Court for his case. Khatri. under RTI, collected the statement given by Vyas to Ecnomic wing and related documents submitted by him. As Jayant Kahtri came to know about the improper dealings in this case. he filed in the case in Civil court against Vyas duo. 18 original Ian owners of the land. The hearing on this case took place on Thursday. Adv Sunil Deshmukh and Adv Chirag Nawlani were public prosecutors while Adv R M Agrawal pleaded for the defence side.
