Process of shifting Fulzari village from PTR begins
THE much-awaited process of rehabilitating 1 IS families from Full arivillage situated in the core area of Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR) hasbegun with six families already shifted to Sangrampur in Ramtek tehsil. This is the only village in STAR which is to be shifted outsidethe national park.
The Forest Department has given Rs one lakh to 16 families as mobilisation fund for shifting their household materials from the village. Each of the 118 families will get a compensation of Rs 10 lakh inoption 1 or facilities like homing.roads, water, electricity and other facilities equivalent to the package at the relocated place.Six families have shifted their materials outside while others are preparing to shift. The families will be rehaMilitated al 4.SO ha of land in Sangrampur. The Maharashtra Government has issued a GR on May 2 for diversion of 4.50 ha of Zudpi Jungle forest land at Sangrampur for rchabil itation of Fullari village of PTR.This was disclosed by M S Reddy. Chief Conservator of Forest and Field Director. PTR. while talking to 'The Hitavada' here on Tuesday.The Head of Forest Force.Miharashtra. had recommended the
Central Government about diversion of the land for rehabilitation purpose under section Z of Forest Conservation Act. 1980. The Regional Conservator of Forests (Central). Regional office. Western Region, ministry of Environment
and Forests. Bbopal. accorded formal approval for the diversion of the land for rehabilitation. Reddy said that the department has completed the work of creating plots at the new site where the works like coastruction of houses, internal roads, water supply units, electrification, primary sun health centre.

years ago in the capacity of Deputy Conservator of Forest, Akot Wildlife Division. He directed his subordinate officers and field staff members to or ganise meetings to convince the villagers about benefits they would reap after shifting to Sangrampur.
