MNS activists ransack Ghatanji Ghatanji Panchayat Samiti Office
TO EXPRESS their anger over the irregularities in administrative work and absence of officials and the employees in Panchayat Samiti the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena(MNS) activists ransacked the Panchayat Samiti office.
According to the report, the MNS activists broke the furniture, window panels.office material. Prashant Dhande. President of Maharashtra Navnirnian Kamgar Sena along with ihe MNS activists entered the Panchayat Samiti office around 1pm on Wednesday.
First the activists entered the Block Development Officer's chamber where they found him missing. They contacted him over the cell phone but could not contact him. In the office they were informed that the BDO was on leave. Angry over this the MNS activist started hreakin the furniture in the room. Similarly, they went to other departments and on finding the officials and employees missing from the office started ransacking the chamhers.
It may be mentioned that in the building and construction department concerned with the gharkul and other construction works the Junior Engineer Ghaniewar and other engineer were missing. Similarly in the superintendents office the office superintendent Hoshi was absent. The activists also ranscalked his cabin.
The big glass door of the Panchayat Sarniti office was broken. Besides this, the MNS activists broke pots of the plants and threw other material. This spread a terror among in the Panchayat Samiti office. The BDO Ramdas Gedam was on sick leave but for how many days nobody knew. Besides nobody knew who was handling the charge of BDO. The Panchayat Samiti officials were no ready to answer to any questions.
Due lo the irregularities in Employment Guarantee Scheme, absence of employees from the office has been causing great inconvenience to the farmers and beneficiaries and so the MNS activists had to take this step. Most of the Panehayat Samiti official tied from the place to shirk off die responsibility. Even the employees were not ready to give their reaction as the officials had shirked their responsibility. Nobody was ready to inform the police also.
It appeared that Panehayat Samiti office was nobody's responsibility.
