Forest Department to issue identity cards to retired staffers

FOREST Department has taken a decision 10 issue identity cards to retired forest officers and employees, who have to face proboems in absence of such cards. SWH Naqvi, Head of Forest Force, issued instructions to the authorities concerned to collect data of retired forestmen and those retiring in the near nature and start the process. It may he mentioned here that office-bearers of Maharashtra Vansevanivrutta (Pensioners) Association had made a demand in the Statelevel convention held on March I at Chandrapur in presence of the chief guest SWH Naqvi. Naqvi had given assurance that he would do needful to fulfil the demand. He asked authorities to give numbers to the identity cards and maintain register and issue the cards conditionally that the relatives of the retired forestmen would return the cards to the department in case of death.
