Vid ryots hope for good days ahead

HOPES and aspirations of Vidarbha farmers have been increased in leaps and bounds after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister on May 26. The farmers believe that Modi will definitely take a review of their pathetic condition and will guide them tor sustainable life ahead. Modi has asked his senior colleague Nitin Gadkari to come out with a time-bound relief package for integrated structured solution to stop ongoing farmerss suicide immediately. A meeting of farmers - "Kisano Ki Chai Par Charcha Aur Chinta" is being organised on June 2 at Maregaon Village in Yavatmal district.
In March. Narendra Modi selected Dabhadi village in Yavatmal district for "Chai Par Charcha"  mass public contact for election programme. The people of the region have given tremendous support to Bharatiya Janata PanyShiv Sena-led Mahayuli in Lok Sabha election for change in the policies.
Now, it is responsibility of Modiled National Democratic Alliance Government at Centre to give same response to the people of the region, specially farmers who are in distress mood and expecting some good news from the Government.
Vidarbha  Janandolan  Sainiti (VJAS) convenor Kishore Tiwari will submit a report and integrated presentation to Nitin Gadakri after consulting framers. tribal and others.
Tiwari arranged a meeting of farmers on June 2 at Marcgoan village where Parliamentary Committee will collect details on agrarian crisis. Kisano ki Chai Pe Charcha aur Chinta is another serious attempt to take Vidarbha's crisis on national radar. Mohan Jadhav, Secretary VJAS said.
"Vidarbha is a classic example of complete neglect and apathy of Government on rural economy and distressed starving rural India as issues of farmers and tribal has been an election issue for political parties. Instead of agriculture experts. Prime Minister will hear what farmers concerned and tribais have to say. We are hopeful to have urgent relief on economic front related to cost of agriculture produce, cost of seed, fertilizer and pesticide, hostile credit network and very poor health, educational and industrial facilities in the area." Tiwari said.
Main issues that were focused and brought before Narendra Modi were issues of loss-making minimum support price, non-availability of crop loan, poor irrigation, market infrastructure and transport infrastructure, lack of resources and the absence of adequate incentive structures, antifanner policy and others.
Kisano ki Chai pe Charcha aur Chinta  is organised on the same issues but asking for more targeted relief from the Members of Parliament from across Vidarbha in this function.
