Two-wheeler collides with ST bus, one dead, two injured
ONE person died while two other sustained serious injuries when a two-wheeler collided head on with a State Road Transport Bus. The accident took place on Chikhli Buldana highway near Palaskhed Jayanti Fata.
According to information. Bandu Maribhau Gaikwad. aged 45. Popat Bandu Gaikwad. aged 18, and Kacharu Ganpat Nikam. aged 40. all residents of Dumbezhari in Majalgaon taluka of Beed district. were coming 10Chikhli from Shirpur in their two-wheeler (MH 22 A C 4157).
They had visited the De-Addication Centre at Shirpur. Meanwhile. the Hingoli-BuldanaST Bus. (MH 06 F 8774). belonging to Hingoli Bus Depot, was on its way to Buldana from Chikhli.
Near Palskhed Jayanii Fata, the Bus and the two-wheeler collided and all those on die two-wheeler sustained serious injuries.
On receiving information. PS1 Bhoi and Govind Nemlar of Traffic branch and his team reached the spot and rushed the injured to Rural Hospital. As the condition of two persons reportedly deteriorated, they were taken to Buldana and then to Aurangabad. Popat Bandu Gaikwad. aged 18. who was seriously injured in the incident, breathed his last on way to Aurangabad.
The threesome had come to Shirpur to free themselves from liquor addiction, it is reported.
