Rajura gets two Ambulances under NRHM
UNDER the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) project, for emergency medical assistance, 2 Emergency Medical Service Ambulances have arrived at Rajura. This service was started in Maharashtra on January 26, 2014. Being an Industrial area, emergency medical services are very necessary to provide the much required prehospital care to keep the patient alive after any kind of an emergency. This is a joint initiative of MOHFW (Government of India and State of Maharashtra). Bharal Vikas Group (BVG). a private firm will manage and oversee the emergency medical services. Doctors and pilots in each vehicle will be on duty 24x7. In case of emergency to avail this service one has to just dial toll free no. 108 and the ambulance will reach the spot at the earliest The service is totally free of cost for general public. If anyone demands for money for providing this service is made, a complaint should he registered on the toll free no.
The stale of art ambulances are Air Conditioned with oxygen tanks, stretchers, defibrillator, mini operation theater, diagnostic equipment and medicines and all modern gadgets. Emergencies for which 108 ambulance service may be provided arc - Patients of road accidents. Critical pregnant women. Neonaials related diseases. Patients suffering from an epidemic. Natural Calamities. Manmade Hazards. Critical heart patients. Snake bite. Food poisoning. Respiratory diseases. Brain diseases and Burn patients. Dr PB Khandate. Medical Superintendent.
