ST collides with luxury bus, hit by truck; seven injured
AS MANY as seven passengers sustained injuries when the Stale Transport Bus they were traveling in collided with a Luxury Bus coming from opposite direction. After collision with the Luxury Bus, the ST Bus was also hit by a truck coming from behind.According to information, ST Bus from Akola Depol (MH 40 Y 5112) was heading towards Aurangabad. It collided head-on with a luxury bus (GJ 19 V 9393) coming from opposite direction at Kaloh-Pimpala Shivar near Khamgaon.
The front portion of the ST bus suffered huge damage in the accident. The ST was then hit by a truck coming from behind. The hit by the truck left seven passengers injured.
They include Digambar Aakhalkar. Sharad Kulkarni. Silaram Wadapalli. Seema Ingole. Mahadev Barode, Dhananjay Mangale and Jagannath Mangale sustained injuries in the incident. The injured were admitted to Khamgaon General Hospital.The driver of the ST Bus Gajanan Sipuie also received severe injuries in the accident.
Meanwhile the driver of the Luxury Bus Shabirsha Bashirsha Fakir, aged 30, lodged a complaint against the ST Bus driver with the Khamgoan Police. Police registered an offence under sections 279. 337. 427 against Satpute.
Subhash Patil, ST Depot Manager, Khamgaon and others visited hospital and enquired after the health of the injured. He gave immediate assistance of Rs 1,000 to Digambar Aakhatkar. Sharad Kulkarni and Sitaram Wadpalli and an aid of Rs 500 to Seema Ingole, Mahadev Borade. Dhananjay Mangale and Jagannath Mangale.
