Bandh in Buldana, rasta roko at Malkapur over FB post
TO CONDEMN some objectionable remarks against Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. posted on social networking site Facebook. a bandit was observed at Buldana on June 6. At Malkapur too, a huge morcha was taken out and rasta roko was organised to condemn the incident.The objectionable comments on the Facebook irked Ambedkariles and all those who revere the great leader and architect of Indian Constitution.
On Saturday night, a complaint was lodged with the Police against the post. The police assured to conduct an inquiry into the incident. Police bandobast at various sensitive areas too was increased to avert any untoward incident.
On Sunday, however, followers of Babasaheb Ambedkar. requested people to close their establishment, though it was a day of weekly market.
Soon the vegetable vendors, shops and other business establishments closed shutters. For some time, even ST bus services were affected. However as recruitments for the post of clerk at the office of District Collector were .scheduled for that day. the public vehicles were allowed to run.
Other than the market area where most establishments remained closed, the effect of the bandh was almost negligible in other parts of the city.
At Malkapur too. a huge morcha was organised to condemn the incident. The morcha was led by Bhai A Wankhede.
A rasta roko was also staged. Pol ice detained Wankhede and his other supporters after which traffic resumed.
