SDO connects residential line with main water distribution line illegally
IT HAS came to light recently that Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) allegedly connected the pipeline of his Government Residence with the main water distribution line illegally. Remarkably the line is connected with the Air Valve of the main water distribution line and the public's attention has been concentrated on what action Chandrapur Municipal Corporation (CMC) will take on the SDO.
It may be mentioned that there are many residences of the Government Officers in Civil Lines near Water Tank and SDO resides in one of the residences. He. allegedly, contacted the Ujjwal Construction Company and demanded the Company and the CMC Officials to give him 24 hours water connection. There is no pipeline in the city that will provide water for 24 hours and therefore the Ujjwal Company informed him that the Company is unable to give him such connection and started the regular pipeline connection work. Meanwhile, he with the help of private plumber connected the pipe with the main pipeline that is used to fill the water tank. When asked Yogesh Samrit. Director of Ujjwal Construction Company about the matter, he said that the Company could not act on the demand of SIX) as there is no such pipeline in the city that will provide 24 hours water and connecting with the main pipeline is an unfair act. While the SDO said that he has been facing water shortage since last 15 days and he frequently communicated with the concerned persons in this regard hut the concerned persons deliberately neglected his demand and therefore he himself connected the line with the main pipeline as the earlier connection was also at the same place when the CMC Commissioner had been residing in the same residence. He further raised a question that if the same connection was not illegal when CMC Commissioner was residing then how it could be considered illegal presently.
