Girls outshine boys in Nagpur
THE result of Higher Secondary" Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education have been declared on Monday. Nagpur Division secure 89.07 per cent result. Anurag Bharadwaj of Shivaji Science College topped the division by securing 98 per cent. He is said to be the State topper. Runjan Bhelekar and Avanti Saoji of Dr Ambedkar College. Deekshabhoomi stood joint second with 96.7 percent. Aditya Shrikhande of Shivaji Science stood third. In Commerce stream. Sharanya Shivraman of Dr Ambedkar College. Deekshabhoomi topped the table by securing 95.54 per cent while Nagpur Deshkar of LAD college stood second with 95.2. In Arts stream. Shrineedhi Deshmukh of LAD college stood first with 91.6. Bhakti Ghatole of same college scored 87.07 and stood second in Arts. Ashlesha Komejwar of Kamla Nehru Mahavidyalaya stood third in Arts by securing 87 per cent.
Nagpur District recorded the best ever pass percentage in recent years with the figure standing at 90.77. A total 56183 students had appeared tor the Class 12 exam out of which 51000 students made it. Earlier, the pass percentage was 74.16 in 2010. 67.13 in 2011. 68.93 in 2012. and 73.10 in 2013.
