Colleges can admit students as per new rules of RTMNU
LEARNING a lesson from the past. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU)has prepared guidelines for the colleges, as per which they could admit die students tor the new academic session. The colleges which fulfill the criterion can only admit students for new session.
Last year, die university had banned over 350 colleges functioning without proper infrastructure, sans full time faculty and with intake less than 50 per cent. High Court restricted the university not to allow the colleges to make new-admissions. Anoop Kumar constituted commit lees one for professional courses and another for nonprofessional courses. Dr Kini Dixit headed the team which worked in professional courses. Dr Vinayak Deshpande. Pro-V-C led the team that worked in non-professional courses section.
The committees came to the conclusion that colleges should have 50 per cent teachers per subject.
