Youth arrested for raping six-yr-old

IN A shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was raped by a 23-year-old youth in Khadakpura locality. Sindi (Rly) Police arrested the youth within 24 hours of the incident.

According to information, local residents of Sindi (Rly) heard muffled cries of a small girl at around 9.30 pm on Tuesday. When they went in the direction of the cries, they found a six-year-old girl crying. She was in terrible pain and profusely bleeding. They rushed her to the local Public Health Centre where, after primary treatment, doctors referred her to Sevagram hospital. Mamta, a woman constable with Sindi (Rly) Police Station, admitted the girl to Sevagram Hospital at around 1.30 am on Wednesday. The girl is undergoing treatment there.

Meanwhile, after investigations cops arrested one Irian Shaha Majtin Shaha(23). resident of Laden Nagar, Sindi (RIy) on Wednesday. The action was taken under guidance of R G Killekar. Deputy Superintendent of Police (Home) and Incharge SDPO of Selu tehsil. Cops booked Irfan Shaha Majlin Shaha under sections 373. 376 of IPC and sections 3. 6 and 8 of Sexual Harassment Act. 2012. During interrogation. Shaha confessed to his crime.

DSP Killekar also visited the girl at Sevagram Hospital. It has been learnt (hat the parents of the victim had gone to a local relative's house. The victim was alone in the house for about half-an-hour during which the incident took place. After returning home, her parents searched for the girl. Neighbours informed them about her condition.
