Parit community stages demonstrations for inclusion in SC category
DEMONSTRATIONS by different organisatioas marked Wednesday. While Park community staged demonstrations lo demand inclusion in Scheduled Caste, social activists demanded immediate arrest of the murderers of Narendra Dabholkar.
Parit community activists took out a morcha to Collectorate to stage demonstrations. The community has been demanding inclusion in the list of Scheduled Caste since a couple of months. Pradesh Chief GopiannaChakar. Anil Shinde. Pramod Chandurkar and other workers took part in the demonstrations.
The agitators stated in their memorandum that the Parit community was recognised as Scheduled Caste. It was also mentioned that the community has been given status as S(" in 18 states. Dr D M Bhande community has also recommended the inclusion. The agitating community has demanded immediate decision of the State Government on the matter.
Local unit of Maharashtra Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti activists staged demoastrations in Gandhi-Jawahar garden on Wednesday afternoon. They reslnted delay in investigations in the case of murder of their leader Narendra Dabholkar last vear and demanded imme-diate arrest of the accused.
