JNMG gets four addl seats in PG Surgery


JAWAHARLAL Nehru Medical College. Sawangi. Wardha affiliated to Datta Meche Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University), got increased intake of four seats of MS (General Surgery) qualification. Presently, it has 6 scats and with this development it will have 10 seals. Demand was made of increased intake from 6 to 10 seats.
The assessment report on the standard of examination and other teaching facilities for Recognition of MStGcneral Surgery) qualifi-cationagainst increased intake from 06 to 10 seats at J N Medical College.
The Postgraduate Committee of Medical Council of India (MC1) considered the Council assessor's report and decided lo recommend iliai MS (General Surgery) qualification against increased intake from 6 to 10 seats granted by DattaMeghe Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University). Wardha in respeel of students being trained at J N Medical College. SwangL Wardha be recognised and included in the 1st schedule to the IMC Act. 1956.
The Postgraduate Committee further decided that the recognition so granted shall be for a maximum period of 5 years from the date of notification upon which the Institute shall have to apply for renew al of recognition. Failure to seek timely renewal of recognition as required shall invariably result in stoppage of admission to the postgraduate course.
