Unemployed of Gadchiroli on warpath

 

LOCAL youths, under the tanner of Berozgar Yuwak Sangathana. launched an indefinite hunger strike here on Friday demanding withdrawal of Governor's ordinance dated July 9, 2014 regarding recruitment of tribal candidates in Class Ill and Class IV cadres of the district under Panchayat Extension to Scheduled Areas (PESA). In fact, the Sanghatana has announced that the non-tribal unemployed youths of the district will burn their degrees in public and gherao the Guardian Minister R R Patil in protest against the ordinance issued by the Governor regarding recruitment of 100 per cent tribal candidates. A series of other agitations will also be held.
On August 9. 10 and 11 rasta roko and a bandh will be observed at Armori, Gadchiroli and Aheri respectively. On August 14, a morcha of unemployed youth will be taken out up to the Collectorate and
