"PURE drinking water is necessary for maintaining sound health. Rural areas need purification centres so that pure water can be supplied to people." said Kiran Gitte. District Collector. He was speaking after the inauguration of a water purification centre for Gurukunj Mozari at Gurudev Nagar constructed under the Rastrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Birth Centenary Development Plan. The programme was organised at the water purification centre of Das Tekadi in Mozari.

Gitte said further the situation of water supply is betier in Maharashtra as compared lo other slates. Water purification centres can he run in different villages but it is also necessary that villagers pay water tax regularly. Successful implementation of such projects would help in stopping migration of villagers, he pointed out.

The centre was inaugurated by MLA Adv Yashomati Thakur. ex-MLA Bhayyasaheb Thakur. Prakash Maliaraj Wagh. Sarvadhikari of Ak-hil Bharatiya Shri Gurudev Sewa Mandal. Devidas Dehankar. Chairman of Panchayai Samili. Nilesh Raul, Sarpanch, Gurudev Nagar. Anil Chopkar, Sarpanch. anc Jayani Deshpandc SDO, were the gucsis. Adv Thakur said thai co-ordination between public representatives and administration would help in carrying out many developmental works. Wasudev Chaudhari. Branch Engineer of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) conducted the programme and made the introductory remarks while Kiran Khandare. Gram Panchayat memhcr, proposed a vote of thanks. Local officials of (MJPUK)k efforts for the programme.
