Hotel director booked for allowing dance on Friendship Day
RAJAPETH Police booked Nitin Deshmukh. Corporator and Director of Hotel Rangoli Pearl at Nawathe Square, here for allowing youths to dance on Friendship Day by violating the Government rule. Police also booked Ankush More and Neeranjan Dube, both activists of Bajrang Dal. for giving threatening call to a girl who was caught by police along with two other youths during the party.
As per reports. Get Together Rain Dance party was organised by the groups of youths here on the terrace of Hotel Rangoli Pearl to mark the Friendship Day recently. Bajrang Dal activists along with police reached the hotel on suspicion of indecent activities in the party. Police caught three youths including a 20-year-old girl in compromising condition and look prohibitory action against them. Meanwhile. Nitin Deshmukh addressing a press conference cleared that it was not a rave party but was only a rain party. But some of the anti-social elements raided the party when it was over. Deshmukh also showed the video footages of the party to make it clear that there was no indecent activity going on and no drinks or drugs were served during the party. Rajapeth Police booked Nitin Deshmukh under section 33 (AKX)and 132 (B) of IPC for allowing dance in the hotel. Meanwhile, the girl who was detained by the police lodged a complaint with Rajapeth Police against Neeranjan Dube and Ankush More for threatening her. Cops booked both Dube and More under section 506 of IPC and are investigating further in the incident.
