DLSA TO APPOINT PARALEGAL VOLUNTEERS
DISTRICT Legal Service Authority (DLSA) Durg is going to select Paralegal Volunteers for providing necessary assistance ineffective implementation of Legal Service Schemes drafted by National Legal Service Authority, New Delhi.
Under direction of District Judge and Chairman DLSA. Durg Paralegal Voluteer Selection Committee has been formed lo select willing candidates. In first phase. 50 paralegal volunteers will be selected at district headquarters level. In order to facilitate applicants proforma of application along with advertisement has been put up on notice board of offices of the District Judge Durg; President District Bar Association Durg. CEO Jila Panchayat Durg. CEO Janpad Panchayat Durg/Dhamdha, Chief Municipal Officer Nagar Panchayat Dhamdha, District Program Officer Women and Child Development. Superintendent Central Jail Durg, DMC Commissioner and District Employment Officer.
Candidates willing lo work as paralegal volunteer can send their applications in prescribed proforma along will photocopies of documents by post in the name and address Chairman. DLSA, Gaurav Path, Nyay Sadan Durg (Chhanisgarh) or personal by sub-mi i on working day s during office hours by June 17 till 5 pm after which applications will not be considered.
DLSA Durg's Secretary Sanjaya Rat re told NLSA had started Paralegal Volunteer Scheme in 2009 to prepare a panel of volunteers for cooperating in legal service related works. According to this scheme a panel of maximum 25 (50) active Paralegal Volunteers in each Tahsi I Legal Service Committees and Maximum 50 (100) in DLSA is to be constituted- Selection will be done from teachers (including retired teachers), retired government servants, senior citizens. MSW students and teachers. Anganbadi workers. Doctors, Students and Law Students. Women Self Help Groups and other Self Help Groups. Prisoner with good conduct.
