Two units of GSTPS will be shut down after completing 40 yrs: Pawar
DEPUTY Chief Minister and senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Ajit Pawar, on Monday, claimed that the two units of Chandrapur Super Thermal Power Station (CSTPS) will be shut down completely after completing of 40 years of its functioning.
Meanwhile, Pawar took review meeting with the district administration at Collectorate on Monday afternoon.
Interacting with the mediaper-sons in a jam-packed press conference held at Circuit House. Pawar lunher claimed that the two units (I and II) have completed only 30 years of its functioning. There is much demand of power supply in the State, hence, it will not he shut down. However, the units will be renovated on its requirement. After completing 40 years of its functioning, the units will be shut down completely, asserted Pawar.
The Irrigation Minister Pawar furtherclaimed that Marathwada is facing very deficient rainfall during this season. Vidarbha region has some sufficient rainfall compared to last year. "I have instructed District Collectors to ensure to provide assistance on lime to the farmers like loans from various banks and others.
