President of Amravati Zilla Parishad. Surekha Thakare.. former Vice-President of Maharashtra State Legislative Council Prof SharadTasare. Navneet Rana. Deputy Mayor Nandu Warhade, District NCP President Sunil Warhade. City President Nitin Hiwsc, Working President. Chandrashekhar Deshmukh. and many others were present on the dais.
Addressing funher. Pawar alleged that Modi was extending monetary help to neighbouring nations even when people of India, especially farmers were facing many problems. The Prime Minister has shown big dreams to people during campaign for Parliamentary elections and created a wave in his favour using social media. But his Government has failed to curb inflation. Modi Government has deceived farmers with verv low increase in support price of agricultral produce. The MPs from Bharatiya Janata Parry and Shiv Sena are trying to create fear among people and are behaving arrogantly even since they came Into power." Pawar alleged.
In his speech. The Deputy Chief Minister further said that Maharasjtra Government has taken decisions beneficial lo people and lias implemented many developmental projects, including in Vidarbha. "In recent limes the NCP activists provided help to natural calamity-affected people. Activists should continue their social work instead of getting disheartened by the defeat in Parliamentary election. Partymen should start preparations for contesting from all the eight State Assembly seats in the district." he said. About alliance he said that a decision will be taken by the higher authorities of NCP and Congress parly.
Pawar further said that Congress failed to promote able leadership during Parliamentary election when NDA was creating hype of Narendra Modi and therefore faced defeat elections despite doing good work, he
added. NCP State President Sunil Tatkare. in his speech, said that credit of the landslide victory in the elections goes only to Narendra Modi and not to BJP or any other party. NCP activists should forget the past, stand firmly again and fight with grit in the upcoming Assembly elections, he said, further urging partymen to forget internal differences and strengthen the party organisation.
He also enumerated the various developmental works done by State Government and NCP chief Sharad Pawar.
Anil Deshmukh. Surekha Thakare. Harshawardhan Deshmukh. Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana also addressed the programme.
Sunil Warhade made the introductory remarks. At the outset guests inaugurated the programme by lighting the traditional lamp.
Many activists including Shekhar Bhoyar who contested recent Teachers' Constituency elections entered into the NCP in the presence of Ajit Pawar and Sunil Tatkare on the occasion.
