Man loses wife due to bad road, cops book him for rash driving!

                                                                                      

INSENSITIVITY of City Police towards people has come to the fore once again when they booked a senior citizen, who lost his wife due to had condition of road, for rash driving.

Vinod Bhalchandra Mairal (65). along with his wife Aasawari (62). residents of Plot No 100. Pawan bhoomi Layout, were returning home on a scooter (MH-31/CZ-3229)     from     Pande Layout on Tuesday. On outer Ring Road, there scooter bumped into a poiholc and the couple fell down. Aasawari. who suffered severe head injuries, was rushed to Government Medical College & Hospital where she succumbed around 11.25 pm. Her husband was also hurl in the accident.

Rana Pralap Nagar Police, instead of probing into the cause of mishap due 10 bad road condition, booked the Vinod Mairal for rash driving. When contacted, senior Inspector Avdhesh Ganesh

Tripathi. inchargc of Rana Pratap Nagar Police Station, told "The Hitavada" that prima facie the person riding the vehicle was responsible for causing death. And. therefore, police have hooked him. he added. "However," Inspector Tripalhi said. "We are conducting proper investigation in the case."

Aasawari leaves behind husband, two sons and a host of relatives to mourn the loss. Last rites were performed at Sahakar Nagar ghat.
