'Brahmins must come together to fight for rights'
FEW YEARS back. Brahmin community was known for its education and dominance in different government services. Due to lack of unity in the commuity, government increased the percentage of reservation for different communities up to 73 percent. Now. Brahmin youths are facing problems of unemployment in spite of having education. The situation has created necessity for Brahmins of all sub castes and all languages to come together for their rights, said Kakasaheb lokhande. President of Samruddhi Co-operative Bank. Nagpur. He was speaking at the silver jubilee programme of Parashar Brahmin Sabha organised in Town hall here.
Rajahhau Abdeo, Amravati District President of Parashar Brahmin Samaj. presided over the programme while Kiran Hatgaonkar. President. Divisional Co-ordination committee. Dr Anuradha Ambulkar and Sunil Pande. Secretary of District and Divisional Coordination Committee, were present as guests on the dais. Sunil Pande gave introductory remarks while Abdeo threw light on the progress of the community in last 25 years. Hatgaonkar urged the community to be united and appealed to seniors to help youths regarding financial help for industries and guide them inchoosing their career.
Total 48 senior citizens who completed age of 75 years were felicitated on the occasion. Rutwik Kiran Hatgaonkar was felicitated for international award in archery. Vasant Kulkarni tor gelling journalism award and Kumar Kokane for contribution in literature and social work.
Meritorious students Nootan Ravindra Pakhode. Abhishek Virendra Joshi. Nikita Vinod Upadhye and Sayali Ravindra Joshi were felicitated on the occasion.
Different competitions were also organised on the silver jubillee occanational award in archery. Vasam Kulkarni for getting journalism award and Kumar Kokane for contribution in literature and social work.

Parth Panajkar and Anuradha Pande for food decoralion children group. Awards for arati singing competition were also distributed.
