39 self-financed schools' proposals received
EDUCATION Department of Zilla Parishad has received 39 proposals for self-financed schools from different institutes and trusts.
The state government has invited proposals for self-financed primary and secondary schools from educational societies in the district. During 2012-13. about 60 proposals were finalised to open private non-aided schools.
The department has received 39 proposals this year.
According to information gathered after primary scrutiny these proposals will be sent to Deputy Director of Education Amravati who in turn will recommend the list to Director of Education Pune. The district-level committee for scrutiny included Ambadas Mankar Dy EO (Secondary). Ashok Sonawane EO (Secondary) and Praralla Kachawc EO (Primary).
Under the self-financed schools, die institute or organisation intending to open a primary and secondary schools are expected to fulfill the norms for the schools.
The schools u ill be recognised as non-grant schools.
Though many institutes have shown interest in opening self-financed school, it is learnt that there is no proposal from any industrial units or financial firms which could provide finance.
