Dr Babasaheha Ambedkarancha' giving in-depth details about how Midas touch of Dr Ambedkar shaped a young and talented Bhalchandra Varale who rose to a great height during his career and more importantly he faithfully chronicled the historical period and how Dr Ambedkar weighed pros and cons before taking any momentous decision.
The book was released al a very simple and impressive function held al Chitanvis Centre on Wednesday morning at the handsof senior administrative judge of Nagpur bench Justice Bhushan Gavai and eminent litterateur Prof MaheshElkunchwar. Son of late Bhalchandra Varale and a sitting judge of Bombay High Court Justice Prasanna Varale. his wife Geeta. sister Pratibha Jadhav, Prashant Jadhav, Prof Datta Jadhav. Dr Shrikant Varale. Prof Raimane were prominently present on the dais.
Describing the book as a major addition on literature about Dr Ambedkar. Prof Elkunchwar in his ihought-provokign address lamented lethargy in preserving historical material and sources throwing light on li vesof great men and events which changed the course of history. Describing Dr Ambedkar's decision to embrace Buddhism as one of the mosl momentous decision in Indian history. Prof Elkunchwar stated that Varale lias captured the inner thoughts of Babasaheb during those critical years and hence such books are treasure for future generations. He also lamented about inadequate efforts to retrieve the lost literature of Buddhist era and indifference of government and society to include such gems in school and college courses.
Justice Bhushan Gavai narrated journey of Annasaheb Varale and his family from village Nippani to a torch-bearer of Ambedkarite movement and how late Varale was fortunate to have received personal attention from towering personality like Babasaheb wfhich shaped his life and the book depicts a fascinating story of evolution of a multi-faceted personality who carved a space for himself in legal fraternity. Prof Bhagat. who has written a fine foreword to book, narrated the life journey of Babasaheb and how his decisions changed the destiny of millions of people. Varale's book will throw light on many unknown facets of Dr Ambedkar's life. But we know very little about courtcraft of Dr Ambedkar and how he performed as a lawyer during 1924 to
