Anil Deshmukh seats for NCP in demands 3 Nagpur

STEPPING up pressure on Congress. the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has demanded at least three assembly seats in the city for its workers and leaders during ensuing assembly elections.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister Anil Deshmukhon Wednesday made this demand during a meeting of senior NCP leaders held at Mumbai. He pointed out that Congress did not share a single seal with NCP due lo which party rank and file is not happy However, during last couple of years, the party has strengthened its organisation and has many capable and popular faces to fight the assembly polls, Deshmukh stated. About possible seat sharing with Congress. Deshmukh insisted that NCP musi stake strong claim over at least three seats of Nagpur city. The NCP has already conducted interviews for all the 288 seats and its cadre has urged leadership to go alone in the polls. With Deshmukh taking this lead, the Nationalist Congress Party leadership may sight such a demand to extract more scats during seat-sharing talks with Congress leadership.
