Nimgaon villagers allege foul play in police patil recruitment
RESIDENTS of village Nimgaon in Dhanora taluka of the didtrict have alleged injustice against them in the process of recruiting police patils in the village. "Even after having sufficient population of scheduled castes (SCs) in Nimgaon the post has been declared for open category. SC candidates have thus been deprived of job," said the villagers in a press conference held here on Monday afternoon.
The villagers said that at village Nimanwada near Nimgaon the post of police patil was reserved for SC category even though that village 001 had a single population of SC. When we objected to this, the reservation of N imanwada was changed by issuing another public notice and the post was declared to be reserved for the ST category, it was told.
However. Nimgaon village was not altoued the SC category reservation even after our complaint and having sufficient population, the villagers lamented, adding that the administration has done injustice against them. Where has the post meant for SC category of village Nimanwada gone, they asked.
The recruitment should be stayed and the post should be given to SC candidate, they demanded. We will not tolerate this injustice and will launch an agitation if our demand is not fulfilled, they threatened. Prashant Nagrale. Anandrao Barde. Lokmitra Barsagade. Gunwam Khibragade were present at the press conference.
Meanwhile, when asked. Sub Divisional Officer said that the reservation has been declared as per rules and no changes can be done in it at this stage.
