Three held for trying to extort money from man

HUDKESHWAR Police arrested three persons, including a woman, for extorting Rs 1.80 lakh from a retired bank employee after taking his obscene photographs and threatening to publish in newspapers. The accused have been identified as Kapil Gopai Meshram (29). a resident of Plot No 7, Vishwakarma Nagar. Ashok Paikrao (38). a resident of  Bokhara.   Koradi.   and   Kanchan MurliUhar Ludhekar (31), a resident of Barasignal, Janarodi. According 10 Police, one Kalpana Bai. in connivance with the accused trio, called Bhagwai Bawankule (62) lo her house at Unnali Park. Besa lo discuss about the marriage proposal for his son. Around 2 pm on September 10. Bawankule went to Kamlabafs house. Kalpanabai and accused forcibly took the obscene pictures of Bawankule with a woman. They then started blackmailing him. The accused extorted Rs 1.80 lakh from him for not publishing them in newspapers. They took his signatures and thumb impression on blank stamp papers. After somedays. they again started demanding money. On the basis of Bawankule\s complaint. Police registered an offence under IPC sections.
