Draft working plans ready for three forest divisions
THE Coaservalors of Forest from Chandrapur. Aurangahad and Nasik made presentation on draft working plan for three forest divisions in the State-level meeting held here on Wednesday. The ten-year plans are to expire in the near future and hence new working plans would be prepared.
A K Saxena. Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Head of Forest Force), presided over the meeting held in Van Sabhagruha, Seminary Hills, in which two representatives of the Central Government were also present. Discussion on future management prescription details would be held before forwarding the plans to the Central Government for final approval.
Dr Pravecn Chavan. CF. Chandrapur. Clement Ben. CF. Nasik and CF. Aurangabad made prescnlations on Chandrapur. Malegaon and Aurangabad divisions representatively.
The two-day meeting took review of the works done in previous working plans and implementation of forest and wildlife management programmes in a scientific manner. The meeting will discuss on Thursday about regeneration system, implementing agencies, categorisation of plants/trees etc. Reliable sources informed that the concerned officers will make presentation on draft working plans for Nagpur, Amravati and Bhor (Pune) forest divisions.
The authorities will also discuss preliminary working plans for Wardha and East Melghat divisions on the basis of past experience and management. Final drafts would be prepared after suggestions/modifications, they added.
