Poll scenario to
POLITICAL activity is heating up in the state ahead of the Assembly electiosn on October 15. In Vidarbha too. like elsewhere in Maharashtra, there have been a string of political leaders crossing over to other parties ahaed of declaration of nominations. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is Thursday, October I and only then the final picture will emerge as how many candidatcs remain in fray from the W a s h i  m (reserved).Riosd and Karanja constituencies.
Scrutiny of forms was done on Monday and four nominations from Riosd constituency were rejected for various reasons. Moreover, five nomination forms from Karanja constituency and ten from Washim constituency were also rejected.
Meanwhile, in wake of the ensuing elections, campaigning has also begun. Union Minister for Surface Transport and former National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party Nitin Gadkari was the first political heavyweight 10 address election rally in Washim on Monday.
It may be mentioned here that the BJP has fielded sitting MLA Lakhan Mai ik from Washim (eeserved)con-stituency Vijay Jadhao from riosd and Rajendra Patni from Karanja con-si iiuency.
The scenario in this election is particularly different owing to the end of ties between Congress and Nationalist Congress Party and BJP and Shiv Sena alliance in the state. Each party has now field their own candidates, thereby making the fight multi-dimensional. This, when the election resukts are declared, will also make the picture clear as to which parly stands where among ihe voters.
Meanwhile. after the split. it is now apparent that the candidates and their pam-leaders   will   spit  venom againsi each other during (he election campaign. The political leaders will leave no chance while criticising each other to assert their own supremacy. Who would be in the diver's seat and who will he caught in deep water only time will tell.
All political leaders are well aware that the voters cannot be or should not be taken for granted. What will be the mood of the voters . nobody can predict.
The voters have ample time to decide who to support in these polls, however, the political leaders and activists are growing anxious with every passing day. Afterall. politics is such a blind same herein all the predictions and claims can fall flat without a whimper.

I will close down all these security agencies and start a government agency where thousands of local youths will gel jobs. I will keep a strict vigil on people entering Maharashtra from other States." he added.
The MNS Chief further alleged that during the last 15 years, the Congress-NCP Government has failed to provide good roads, water, electricity and jobs to youths. S&P upgrades India's credit rating to stable

STANDARD & Poor's on Friday improved India's outlook 10 stable from negative, saying the new political formation at the Centre has the capacity to push reforms and put the country back on high growth trajectory.
