Mourning son's death, Sr citizen kills man in Mahal

HEARTBROKEN senior citizen was seething with hatred for the man he believed was responsible for his son's death. And finally, the grief-stricken dad. Suresh Sadhuji Ghongre (60) took ultimate revenge of his son's death by stabbing the 36-year-old, Shailendra Balkrishna Junghare with a sharp-edged weapon in front of the latier's house at Gawlipura. As there was a dispute between the girl's family on the issue, some residems led by Junghare intervened and allegedly requested Ghongre's son to slay away from the girl.

In April this year. Ghongre's son committed suicide by consuming poison. Ghongre was quite disturbed since his son ended his life. Ghongre thought that Junghare was responsible for his son's death. Ghongre performed die 'Shraddh' puja on Sarvapitri Amavasya on Tuesday.

Around 7.15 pm, Lokesh Kishorrao Pawar (26) and Rajesh Ranke were sitting by the roadside, junghare was standing in front of his house.

Suddenly. Ghongre came and stabbed Junghare on his chesi with a sickle-like sharp weapon injuring him seriously.

Some residents of Gawlipura rushed Junghare to Government Medical College & Hospital (GMC&H) where he succumbed to tils injuries.

The news about Junghare's mur der spread like wild fire in the area. Mayor Pravcen Datke. former minister Anees Ahmed and other political leaders visited Junghare's house.

Ahmed contacted Junghare's brother, who works in Saudi Arabia, and informed him about the incident.

After recording the statement of Lokesh Pawar (26), a resident of Dasra Road, near Renuka Mata Mandir. Kotwali Police arrested Ghongre on charges under Sections 307 and 302 of the IPC.

h is gathered that Junghare allegedly had a quarrel with some persons over construction of his house in the same locality.
