Narayana kids celebrate India's Mars mission

                                                                                      

THE entire school campus of Narayana Vidyalayam reverberated with worthy applause as the news spread that India had created history' by becoming the first country to successfully get a spacecraft into the orbit around the red plant in its maiden attempt.

Following the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that every educational institution must dedicate few minutes to celebrate the historic occasion, the school under the able guidance of its Principal Shraboni Banerjee put up a grand show that echoed the joyous mood of the nation.

The school joined the nation in expressing their joy and being a happy witnessed as the Mars mission dared to reach out into the unknown thereby striding inwards the completion of country's first interplanetary mission lo Mars. Noting the 'landmark occasion' for India, the school organised an impromptu celebration which included bursting of crackers and a highly informative oration by Charushila Paunkar (HoDScience) giving all the major details of the Mars Orbit Mission popularly called 'MOM'.

Lauding the successful efforts of the ISRO scientists who in PM's words had "accomplished the almost impossible", the Principal. Shraboni Banerjce urged the students to be proud of their innate Indianness.

Dubbing the mission a "technology demonstrator", she quoted ISRO when she declared that the mission essentially showcased to the world that India is no longer a country of snake charmers but a hightech hub that has developed its technology against the odds and stringent sanctions.

The programme ended with the Principal conveying best wishes and sincere admiration to the entire ISRO team on behalf of the entire management, staff and students of the school.
