Prahaar Distt Chief's topsy-turvy agitation for PAPs' demands
SENSATION prevailed near tehsil office of Samudrapur on Thursday when Gajanan Kubade, District President of Prahaar. hanged himself upside down to a tree, protesting against the negligent attitude of the officials towards the project affected people of Lalnala and Pothra projects.
It is learnt that many memoranda were submitted to the office of District Collector to fulfill the demands of PAPs of Kora and Pothra. The demands included providing basic amenities, grants to some PAPs, submitting applications under Nirdhar Yojna to respectiveTalathis in rural level etc. However, no action was taken by the district adminis-trationor tehsil administration in this regard. To stress for the demands. Prahaar staged agitation in front of Tehsil office on Thursday. Gajanan Kubade tied a rope to his legs and hanged upside down from a tamarind tree. Police arrested Gajanan Kubade. Deva Dhote. Suresh Narnaware. Rajesh Bobliate. RajendraTandulkar. MangeshTandulkar. Rahul Bhagat. Ravindra Chaudhari. Pradip Moon and Pravin Jayde and were later released. Under guidance of Anil .liitewar. PSI. Umesh Harankhede Jittewar, PSI. Umesfa Harankhede
conducted the enquiry.
