ALKA Mahipalsingh Thakur of Saraswati Vidyalaya. Paras, and Satish Dcshmukh of ZP Junior College. Akola. were honoured with the Maharashtra State Government's Best Teacher awards in a ceremony held at Shiv Chhtrapati Krida Sankul. Balewadi. Pune. the other day. Ajit Pawar. Deputy Chief Minister, presented the award in the presence of CM Prithviraj Chavan.

The function was also attended by State Education Minister Faujia Khan, MPVandanaChavhan. MLAs Vinayak Nimahn. Mohan Joshi. Education Secretary Ashwini Bhide. Education Commissioner S Choklingam and other dignitaries. Education Director Sarjerao Jadhav proposed a vote of thanks.

In all. 106 teachers with their families were felicitated. On    honour    of    the    Slate Governments Best Guide Awardee Alka Thakur was congratulated by MLA Baliram Sirskar. Ullamrao l.ande. Sham Khopade. Keshvrao  Nagapure and others. The award comprised a memento, certificate and cheque of Rs 10.000.
