Bifurcation of Karanja Police station awaited

THE bifurcation of Karanja Police station is still held in abeyance. Besides, the proposals in respect of formation of additional two Police stations at Scluba/arand Kamargaon are also held up.

As the population of Washim district is increasing, the crime ratio UK) is on the rise.

In order to check the crime ratio, the proposals for lite bifurcation of the Karanja police station and formation of two additional Police stations at Selubazar and Kamargaon were sent.

Some two years ago. Rural Police station at Washim has come into existence, the bifurcation of Karanja Police station is still held in abeyance. The proposals slating the need of additional police stations in the district were also sent to the Government.

The Government literally conceded the demand for the birurcation of the Karanja Police station, hut the process of its bifurcation has not yet materialized.

Only after the notification is issued by the Government, the Rural Police station at Karanja can come into existence.

However, the formation of additional two police stations at Selubazar and Kamargaon is also held up. Though, the Police Separtment has sent proposals to the Government for two additional Police stations at Selubazar and Kamargaon. the proposals may not be on the priority list of the Government.
