State to announce new Bamboo Policy soon: Mungantiwar

                                                                                     

STATE Minister For Finance, Planning and Forest, Sudhir Mungantiwar on Tuesday announced that State Government is going lo announce new 'Bamboo Policy' in coming days. He also announced the construction of a training institute for making bamboo artifacts at Chichpalli where forest dwellers will be trained.

Interacting with scribes during 'Meet The Press'programme held at Press Club here, Mungantiwar said that soon he is going lo present the Bamboo Policy for the State ill Cabinet meet. He claimed lhai the new bamboo policy is held up since year 2007. "Its announcement would bring new ray of light into lives of forest dwellers. I have also asked the officials to study whether bamboo farming in the village surrounded by forest is viable to help economical growth of farmers living in jungle villages."
