'Education will help generate feeling of national integrity
NATIONAL Education Day was organised at Priyadarshini Girls' Night School and Junior College, Ghug US, run by Shri Saibaba Gramin Vikas Sansha, Gadchiroli on account of 126th birth anniversary of Bharatmtna Moulana Abdul Kalaam AZad, the first Education Minister of India, recendy.
Smila Thakre, Principal, presided over the function while Sanjivani Kotkar, Supervisor, Prakash Satarde, Sanjay Babare, and Balwant Vikhar were presenl as the chief guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Balwant Vikhar said that the generosity and humanitarian based education can boost development in the country. The unem-ployed youths should turn towards the agricultural and pro-Cession til education anil educated person should contribute at least one hour oC the day to render knowledge to the society, Vikhar appealed.
Satarde, and Sanjivani Kolkar also expressed their views on the occasion and highlighted the life and works oC Moulana Abdul Kalam Azad.
In her presidential address, Thakre said that universal morality and national integrity can only be created through education and the narrowminded attitude of human being will be changed.
The nation can prosper only through education and therefore each and every person of the society should thrust himself in the flow of education to mould virtuous and civilized generation, Thakre appealed.
Speaking further, Thakre said that large numbers of children havebeen deprived of education due to many reasons like poverty, migration of parents in search of employment, child labour, family clashes, and habit of collecting scraps.
Until and unless such children are educated and made literate, the development of die country is never possible,Thakre opined. There for the government should take stern measures and make provision of hostels for such children in rural areas, Thakre expected.
Chetana Bhasarkar, Deputy Chief Minister of School Cabinet conducted the Proceedings of the programme while Sakshi Kadu. Chief Minister proposed a vote of thanks.
The leaching and non-teaching staff and students of ihe school worked hard for the successful organisation of the programme.
