Educational Qualification :
For Engineer (Marine): Degree in Mechanical Engineering andTwo years experience on Board a Mechanised Vessel. OR Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Four years experience on Board a Mechanised Vessel.
For Engineer (Electrical): Degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering and Two years experience in Operation and Maintenance in Marine Electronic or Electrical Workshop or Merchant or Naval or Coast Guard Ship OR Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering. Four years experience in Operation and Maintenance in Marine Electronic or Electrical Workshop or Merchant or Naval or Coast Guard Ship.
For Skipper: Certificate of Competency as second hand of fishing vessel issued by the Mercantile Marine Department of Covt. of India with three years sea experience on board mechanised vessel.
