Russell's Viper caught in Narendra Nagar
TWO youths caught hold of deadly snake in Asia, Russell's Viper of crait family and released it safely in Gorewada forest on Wednesday. The Russell's Viper accounting for thousands of deaths each year was found at Narendra Nagar area on Tuesday evening at around 8.30 pm.
Yash and Jerryl Banalt saw a crowd of people shouting snake at Narendra Nagar. It was dark so they could not identify the snake and they reached out for a gunny bag from the crowd in which they cought it.
They handed over the snake to to forest authorities. On
Wednesday morning, Sarpa Mitra confirmed that it is the most poisonous snake. Once bitten, people experience a wide variety of symptoms including pain, swelling, vomiting, dizziness, blood incoagubility and kidney failure. The snake looks like a pylhon and many a limes though handled by experienced people, it may cause casualties. This snake breeds and gives birth to 20-40 off springs directly, so there is a high possibility of many young ones in that area. The venom of this snake is many limes poisonous than cobra.
Recently, at Ambazari T-point also, a young boy mistaking it to be python inspite of being warned suffered a bite and died a few days ago. The Russell's Viper which was rescued by Yash and Jerryl was released by Sarpmiira Kunal at Gorewada zoo.
