MSRTG Depot Manager caught taking bribe

                                                          

SLEUTHS of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), on Monday caught Chikhli Depot Manager of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) redhanded while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

As per details, a departmental enquiry is going on against ST driver DilipVilthal Pilhale. After the final report he could be suspended and therefore, a panicky Pithale met Chikhlis ST Depot Manager Pankaj Chhagan Mahajan (35). Mahajan allegedly assured that Pilhale's punishment would beredueed, but onlv after he pays a bribe of Rs 10,000. Pilhale agreed to pay but he lodged a complaint with ACB, Buldanaon November 11.

Accordingly, ACB team laid a trap in ST depol at Chikhli around 10.30 am on November 17. As soon as Pithale handed over the first instalment of Rs 5,000 to Mahajan,

ACB sleuths swooped in and arrested the Depot Manager along with the cash.

The trap waslaidhv DvSP {ACB) S1. Mude, Bhail,Dhokaie, Solanki, (ladakh, Bambhale, Khandare, Shegokar and Neware under the guidance of SP (ACB) Tadvi.

It may be mentioned here thai this is for the second time in Chikhli ST Depot that a Depot Manager has been arrested for accepting bribe.
