Two absconding rly cops arrested in bribery case
LOCAL Crime Branch (LCB) sleuths arrested the absconding railway policemen wanted in a case of bribery. The policemen Kapil Manohar Gawai and Irfan Pathan were absconding since July 24.
Railway Police ASI was Sheikh Anwar Sheikh Ali was arrested on charges of receiving bribe for providing amenities to the accused in custody.
Mahcsh Karodade, an accused, was in Railway Police custody. ASI Ali and the constables demanded money from him for providing him facilities. Initially Karodade gave them Rs 20.000. The amount was withdrawn by police from Karodade's ATM account.
