ADDICTION and superstitions have caused a great loss to tribal communities. They need to come out of this and gel educated so that they are included into the mainstream, asserted Maharashtra Social Justice Minister Shivajirao Moghe at Popatkhed in ARot taluka the other day.
Adivasi Melawa was organised at Popatkhed under the Swarna Jayanti Rajaswa Abhiyan.
Minister Shivajirao Moghe addressed the gathering as chief guest. mer minister Ramdas Bodhakc. SDO Shailesh Hinge. Tehsildar Pradip Paiil were prominently present on the occasion.
Addressing further. Minster Shivajirao Moghe said the process of tribals development has started hut has to gain momentum to achieve early results.
He added that the land of trihals cannot be purchased by others. Hence they have been protected by law. He assued to construct 'Adivasi Bhavan in Akot as the taluka is tribal-dominated.
Revenue certificates and documents of over 2.000 traibls were representatively distributed at the hands of the guests. Beneficiaries in Ramai Housing Scheme in Akol town were also distributed cheques on the occasion.
Minister Shivajirao Moghe also performed bhoomipujtm of Akot-Popatkhed road, Popatkhed-Khirkund road and Popatkhed Shahanur road.
