MIHAN PAPs in Shivangaon, Jaitala to get plots in 15 days
THE rehabilitation of project-affected persons (PAPs) of ambitious Multimodal International Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN) project, received a further boost on Thursday with the district administration and officials of Maharashtra Airport Development Company (M ADC) assuring that the developed plots would be handed over to PAPs within 15 days.
Devendra Fadnavis. MLA and State President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). called a meeting of officials Of district administration and MADC on Thursday. at District Collectorate here. Fadnavis raised various issues relating to rehabilitation of PAPs especially from Shivangaon. Jaitala. and Bhamti. Abhishek Krishna, District Collector, and officials of MADC approved Fadnavis suggestion of forming a committee to remove hurdles in rehabilitation of PAPs.
District Collector also directed MADC officials to hand over plots to PAPs in Jaitala. Bhamti. Shivangaon areas within 15 days, after proper measurement. Fadnavis pointed out that decision to provide 12.5 per cent developed land or ex-gratia to PAPs was taken but not implemented and this was affecting land acquisition. In response, MADC officials assured to send a proposal in this regard to MADC Head Office immediately. Further. Fadnavis pointed out that most of the residents of Shivangaon were shown to be living outside gaothan area. When the land was proposed to be acquired, the village had not expanded to its currem limits. Asa result. 231 families were deprived of rehabilitation benefits. MADC officials assured that these families would not be left out of rehabilitation. Fadnavis also demanded plot equal to the land in their possession for residents of Viktu Baba Nagar in Shivangaon. instead of 350 sq ft plot promised to them. MADC officials assured to prepare a proposal in this regard and submit the same to Maharashtra Relief and Rehabilitation Authority (MRRA). Besides, a list of 1.103 farmers was prepared as perdiedirections of Chief Minister.
