Compensation to flood-hit demanded
RAJABHAU DeshmukhTaiwelkar, former President of Amravati district Central Co-operative Bank and others have demanded immediately compensation to farmers who suffered losses due to tloods on July 27.
Water released from Puma dam brought floods in villages on the bank of Puma river like Bramhanwada Thade. Kajali. Deurwada. Kuralpuma. Thugaon. Hirulpurna. Tuljapurgadhi, rajana and others. People and farmers faced heavy losses due to these floods on July 27.
Talwelkar alleged that administration neglected the increase in water level in the dam and released water on July 27 without giving any intimation. Responsibility for the losses of fanners and villagers should he fixed after the inquiry, he demanded . These flood devastated many and hence administration should immediately provide compensation to all flood affected people, demanded Deshmukh.
He has also sent a letter regarding this to Chief Minister.
They also raised this demand by giving memorandum to Guardian Minster Administration should take immediate steps, demanded Deshmukh. Ashok Deshmukh (Ganoja). Vilas Buraghate (Belaj), Raniesh Deshmukh (Kajali) and Mujaffar (Tuljapurgadhi).
